I love being a mom to my 3 awesome kids but there are 5 other little munchkins that hold a special place in my heart God formed just for them..
Garrett aka G-Man my little Hockey playing, potato picking oldest nephew from Maine.. you think I slur my R'r when I talk you should chat with him I love his little accent only a Maine boy can have:) He is sweet and gentle Like his dad but I think has a streak of my sister in him. I dream of hanging out with him at the lake in Maine and taking him to get Milkshakes at Houlton Farms Dairy.
Jacob My Monster Truck Rallying nephew who live in the Sun in AZ.. The boy with the one liners and greatest sense of humor, Some of the things he says make you stop and think how in the world did he come up with that. I loved getting the chance to have some one on one time with him last Summer such a great opportunity that I treasure. He is a tough kid who can turn T-ball into a contact sport my guess is no one will mess with him I expect him to tower over me when he is 16.
Emily My first little niece I cant believe she just turned 1 I am determined that she learns my name and one of these days she will say it and I will stand there shocked.. She has the greatest laugh and it doesn't take much to get a smile, she is a smart little girl with a great vocabulary already. She is the only one that lives close enough to me so I can watch her grow.
Lily Jo my adorable niece and little sister to Jacob. She is a beautiful little girl who has conquered the world at a young age. She has proven to us everyday that she is a fighter, and her smile tells us that we can be too. She turned 1 the other day to so crazy that all these babies are growing so fast. Before we know it she will be running around getting into everything and trying to keep up with Jake.
Baby "Sam" who has yet to grace us with his presence spends his days growing and kicking his Mommy Val's rib cage. He may not be here yet but I know he will be a tanned California surfer boy who is an incredible baseball player that one day will be playing for the New York Yankees taking his favorite Auntie Jill to his games..

Simple Things in Life
So first off I want to say everyone should be praying for all those effected by the Earthquake in Japan so sad watching the scenes of building and cars being swept away by the water only make me wonder how many people were in those homes that may never be found.. My heart is breaking!!
So a simple thing that I am thankful for today is
My Dad being here
He has watched my kids out front so I could relax, He right now is at the park with the boys for an hour and to top it all off he is making his famous Tacos for dinner and Pancakes for breakfast.. Life is full of little things we take for granted this is one I am not today I got some paperwork done, a peaceful shower, and food I didn't have to make:)
The Next Simple thing I wish I had was..
Humpty Dumpty BBQ Chips (mom I know you read this) hopefully you get the suttle hint:) The only place to buy the best chips in the World is Maine and a few select stores in NH which means my one and only food group I cant live with out lies in the hands of my family boxing them up and shipping them to me.. People might think I am crazy but if you have had the rare chance of eating these chips you would agree that no others even come close to comparing..

Day 11 My favorite Bible Verse
So no matter the trials before me, the happiness I have, the peace I receive there is a bible verse that seems to always give me that simple reminder of what God's plan is for my life and He seems to always speak through this one verse. I plan on getting a tattoo containing this verse.
Philippians 1:6
being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.

back on track
So I had to take a few days and not blog there was to much going on that needed my attention more then writing..
Taxes, Birthdays and sushi bars!
Saturday was a day of first my first lunch at a Sushi bar I love sushi but have always been skeptical to go to a sushi bar I am hooked and ready to go back with Joey..
The big First was my niece Emily's first birthday, its hard to believe that she is one already, Such a cutie Em dug right into her ladybug cake and the red and black soon turned to a deep purple mess all over her face and body. She shared a lick or to with all the little kids who dared get close enough to her..
Sunday was my beautiful little girls 3rd birthday. It seems like yesterday that she joined our family with such a grand entrance weighing in at 6lbs 3oz the littlest of all our babies and the one that took 23 hours of labor not 6 to 8. I think she wanted to make sure that I wouldn't forget the experience. From day one there was a soft spot in her Daddies heart only where a little girl can be he kept saying I cant believe I have a daughter followed by I need to buy a gun:) Nothing like already determining your daughter wont date till she is 30.
Makayla enjoyed everything about her birthday the flowers I bought her, dipped strawberries and the awesome Strawberry Shortcake the her Memaw and Papa bought her. Opening presents was nice this year the first time she opened them all and not me, although she was slightly confused on the fact that if a present was from Papa it was her to keep. She also was very fast to open and toss the gift to the side so she could move onto the next gift we lite her candles 3 times and she dug into her cake and strawberry ice cream.
Monday was my day to recover from the weekend I woke up put the boys on the bus and Makayla and I slept till 10:15 and watched cartoons till 11 the greatest feeling in the world..
So Now I am only a few days behind on the blog I am almost done catching up on my house work and Makayla is getting ready to start her gymnastics That Auntie Renna bought her

5 places I want to visit one day
There are so many places I would love to travel to or just something I would love to experience
#1 Ireland, I want a dream vacation just Joey and I traveling the country side and enjoying a ice cold brew at a small hole in the wall pub. I actually would love to get stuck in the middle of the road while sheep are being herded.. Kinda funny movie moment but I would just sit and laugh and enjoy the company and beauty around me.
#2 Yankees games in NY sitting behind home plate eating a ball park and drinking a coke. what else can you say about that simply amazing
#3 Alaskan cruise, I want to sit in a hot tub while staring at ice glaciers. not to mention Joey really wants to go.
#4 I have been before but I want to buy a cabin on a lake in Maine so I can fly out there every Summer and enjoy the time with my family, It is my home, Houlton farms dairy milk shakes and Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips.. My mouth in watering
#5 a Big family vacation with my brothers and sisters with all the kids. Some place fun and for 2 weeks anywhere.
I would write more but my pile pf tax paperwork is looking at me but I didn't want to miss a day:)

Blessed from above
Everyone has loved one that has passed that they greatly miss but still feel an incredible connection too. I have 2 my great grandmother Minee and My Uncle Pete...
Minee was an amazing little lady and I really do mean little she was a blessing to everyone she came in contact with. She was such a giver although I never got to spend a lot of time with her, she passed when I was in the 6th grade, and we had just moved home to Oregon so most of what I know from her are stories but every time I go to pick fresh berries to make my jams or spend a day in the kitchen with my dad and mamaw preparing canned food or making angel food cakes I feel her presence. If I strived to always make someone proud even in high school personally it was her she was always in the back of my mind wondering what she would think of what I was doing. If I was doing something I shouldn't I really felt her. I always told people if I didn't open a door for an elderly person or give them that extra love and attention she would storm out of Heaven just to knock me upside the head. She had such a heart for the Lord and did what ever she could to make sure everyone got to church. She would drive this big old bus around an Indian reservation picking up the kids every Sunday to take them to and from church. If she was canning green beans or tomatoes she would can an extra 50 jars if that meant the neighbor down the road had enough too. Or the cherry pit in the pie, a great thing she left behind always a pit that now when our family has cherry pie they hope that the pit is in their slice just as a silent sweet hello from her. When she was ready to pass all she wanted was to see all her babies again. she was able to see each of us my uncle Jess I think was the last she saw him smiled and took her last breath. The heavens were singing praises when she entered, Makayla is lucky to have her baby doll that she plays with daily and I think there is a big smile on her face
Uncle Pete, OK this used to drive my mom crazy but its a song I have taught to my kids only to honor him and I know he has tootsie pop hanging out of his mouth laughing uncontrollably so here goes
"Beans Beans the Musical fruit the more you eat the more you toot, the more you toot the better you feel beans beans what a wonderful meal"
Make me laugh out load with tears in my eyes. He was taken at a young age with 5 amazing boys to survive life with out him, this is where the quote CANCER SUCKS comes in handy.. He was such a comedian I don't think I ever hung out with him when he was trying to stir up some kind of mischief, like the time at my nanny's house in NH their upstairs toilet was broken so he came up with this grand idea to put a nut chocolaty candy bar in a piece of toilet paper walk downstairs to the dining room table where we all were sitting and start yelling at us kids for using the bathroom when it was broken he brought the evidence to show and was trying to get one of us to confess just as everyone started gasping thinking he his holding poop he takes a big bite of it.. Oh the look on the faces of some of the most Proper English relatives I have. Priceless. Pete served our country in the Air force in then was the faithful Mailman who in the dead of Winter challenged his coworkers to see who could last the longest wearing shorts, I am pretty sure he won.. But my favorite memory of Pete was the day of his oldest son Chris's wedding you see there was this amazingly handsome best man that I couldn't take my eyes off of, well Pete knew him well and tried to get me to go talk to him but I was shy and only 18 and he looked to be a few years older then me so Pete took it upon himself to walk up to this handsome guy and ask if he was single. of course the response was no. Pete then looks at me and says good you see that girl over there that's my niece and she thinks you HOT!! So for the rest of that day I spent hanging out with this incredible guy named Joey. The very next day Uncle Pete told me that he knew one day we would get married and I was going to force him to wear yet another monkey suit. Well he was right about one of those things we did get married but Pete didn't make it to our wedding he got to have a front row seat watching from heaven.. I owe a lot to that man I miss him and love him so much.
If heaven had a phone I would call them everyday to just hear their voices and to say I love you

3 is our lucky number
Three times the fun Three times the craziness....
Since its the third day of blogging I thought I would touch on my 3 favorite kids:)
Brycen is our oldest tall, big blue eyes, and sandy brown hair he will be a charmer in high school since he is already the #1 pick for all the girls in his class I think I am in deep trouble. He has this adorable smile that is paired with a few slight dimples and he can look straight through you with those eyes of his. Eager to learn and to be just like his dad. His favorite sports I would have to say is Basketball and since he is supposed to be 6'4" when he is 16 I think that is a sport he should stick with, but put a baseball bat in his hand and be ready to run after the ball the boy has a great hit and even better pitch. I could just be biased but the more Joey work on his pitch the better it becomes. He is a sweet sensitive boy who's feelings can be crushed easily he doesn't forget anything and allows to much to stay in and bother him. But a quick change in attitude can recently be found in reading or cleaning for me. I love that my little boy can read me a good night story now and enjoy it. Now that reading regular books has picked up he has started diving into his bible of course not reading with such ease and understanding I am exited to teach and to learn along side him. He trys to always find approval from me and I try to show him every chance I get. My "Mister" I never knew my heart could love so deeply until I had you..
Kyle oh "Mommy's Monkey" my California surfer boy at heart at least with his amazing tan and blond hair with those deep deep brown eye that you get lost in. He can get what ever his heart desire with the smize in his eyes or if you have made him mad watch out because he will cut right through you. Kyle has a heart for music and art he has always been my wild child loud and in charge crazy and over excited but to calm him down hand him his guitar or give him a picture to draw and you will see the overwhelming amount of hyperness melt away in an instant. Kyle loves to make his teacher proud at school and will find great success in the fact that he never wants her to tell him twice what needs to be done. He is a detail oriented organized child like his dad which drives me crazy in the grown version but I love the organization he gives to his bedroom. He has a heart for Jesus and loves to strum on his guitar and make up his own songs. As for Sports I think baseball will be it for him maybe soccer although if you ask him he wants to do something were he can punch people and not get in trouble so maybe even boxing. He hold a special place in my heart that melts every time he walks in the room.
Makayla the "mini me" I used to call her angel face but that was before she could talk:) Man that girl has such an attitude I love it!! well right now I do she gives me a run for my money and makes me laugh along the way. Her beautiful blue eyes and curly sandy blond hair with the fashion sense of a model. She is a blast to take shopping only because she now what looks good and what doesn't and don't even try to put the ugly shoes on her she wont have it. She is a complete Mommy's girl and its pains me to think my baby will be 3 this weekend but she loves a good cuddle, putting make up on every morning with me, and to even get her hair blow dried when I do mine. She is my shadow down to the core cooking cleaning and even paperwork. She loves to go to Starbucks with me although she just gets the free water for now I am sure that will change. She is our night owl she will go to bed at 8 but you may find her downstairs at 2am playing games like I did the other day. She loves to go to work with her Daddy and get special treats. Mak watches her brothers with such eagerness to be a big kid, she would rather play GI-Joes then dolls when Brycen and Kyle are around. I am glad that my baby was a girl a whole new place opened up in our lives when she came in it.
3 amazing gifts God gave me to care for, to raise, to love and Cherish They are wonderful. I am glad I have my Best Friend and Amazing husband that they get to call Daddy. We are both so lucky to have these amazing kiddos

Day 2 Top 3 Movies
I love a good chick flick but surprisingly one is not at the top of my list..
#1 Top Gun
The best movie ever made who wouldn't love hot guys in uniforms flying around:) But the best part of the movie is the way it can change my attitude. do you ever have those days where everything is going wrong your down, upset, and just need a good cry but your almost to cranky to do so. This is when Top Gun comes in handy for me, from the start laughing as they all sing in the bar, to beach volleyball, I have smiled laughed and feel calm enough to process my feelings and by the time "Goose" dies i don't have any more tears to cry. Sometime I still think maybe this will be the time "goose" survives..
#2 The Blind Side
One of the best true story movies I have ever seen I was over the "miracle" on ice or the football team that should have won that did story lines, they were all great movies but the message behind The Blind Side just goes to show there are good people in this world that would help others in need. Then for Big Mike to make it into the NFL and to live a life he never dreamed of is amazing. From the tutor saying before you hire me you should know I am a democrat to the awesome one liners from Tim McGraw, and the uncanny way Momma went about expressing her emotions. The Christmas card brought tears to my eyes laughing from the messages on the machine. I feel they really showed the situation in its entirety..
#3 Sweet Home Alabama
The perfect girls night in movie with a glass of sweet white wine with fresh berries in the glass. It has everything you need a good laugh and an ahh how sweet moments. I love that no matter the day I can put this movie in get my house work done just by hearing it know what is going on and I must say cleaning goes a lot faster:) A quick break on the couch and 20 mins at a time it doesn't matter how long I have to relax I can turn it on and off at any moment.
So there you have it the top 3 movies to me looking forward to the next 28 days of blogging things you will see from me, Favorite book, My bucket list, a moment I wish I could relive, and since I am on call to be a Juror for the next 30 days I am sure you will hear about the long hours I will be spending at the court house..
